The focus of Word Study is on developing children's language and word study knowledge and skills. Ongoing word study helps students become better word users. Lessons can focus on the spelling of a specific word, sophisticated phonics principles, or the development of vocabulary. Word Study also helps students learn to become word solvers and how words work.
